This is a Japanese inspired salmon dish! It looks and tastes delicious! It’s actually very simple to make and its perfect when served with rice, or when you feel like having a light healthy meal or seafood craving! I actually thought of this dish when I was back home in Sydney I went to the Sydney Fish markets and got a bit too Greedy and bought half a salmon instead of a few fillets! So with all the sashimi left over this was the perfect dish for it!

- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar

- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 garlic cloves { grated }
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1-2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

- S E S A M E G I N G E R H O N E Y G L A Z E
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Pour over salmon.
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, vinegar, brown sugar and whisk well until combined.
- Add salmon to the dish or place everything in a ziplock bag, then refrigerate and marinate for 30 minutes
- Preheat a pan with olive oil, on medium to high heat.
- Remove salmon with kitchen tongs and place on the pan with sufficient space between each piece for flipping, as cooked salmon can fall apart very easily!
- Sprinkle with a little bit of salt and pepper, then cover with lid and cook for 10-15 minutes, depending on the salmon’s thickness, until opaque and can easily fall apart with a fork.
- Flip the salmon over after 10-15 min, this is the perfect colour and perfect texture you want on it! Now get the same on the other side.
- Remove and serve immediately! Drizzle generously with the glaze over the top.
- Then sprinkle with chopped green onions
- Then sprinkle sesame seeds
- SERVE IT UP!!!! I hope you enjoy it !
